What is a Segway?
A Segway is a two-wheeled,
self-balancing electric
vehicle invented by Dean
Kamen. Computers and motors in the
base of the device keep the Segway
upright. To move forward simply shift your
weight forward on the platform, and move
backward by shifting your weight backward.
To turn, lean the handlebar left or right.
The Segway does everything else for you.
How does it work?
Gyroscopic
sensors and fluid-based leveling
sensors are used to detect the shifting
weight.
